Banfield Finds his Gear
Level: 28 (60000/120000/120000) Entries: 2/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Jordan Banfield is now in the lead after a huge pot saw him check-shove the river and get a fold from Daniel Bourdages. I missed the early action, but the pot chipped Banfield up to around 4 million for the lead over Bourdages who has about 3.2 in front of him now.

All Bourdages So Far
Level: 28 (60000/120000/120000) Entries: 2/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) So far, Daniel Bourdages has all the momentum in heads up. He’s won most of the pots, though they’ve typically been pretty small. In a recent hand, he raised to 250k and got a call from Jordan Banfield. Banfield check-called for 250k on the 7♥4♥J♦ flop and they both checked the 3♥ turn. After a check from Banfield on the A♦ river, Bourdages slid out a stack of blues worth 2 million and Banfield mucked. Banfield is now playing about 2 million.
-
Kyle Rosnes Out in 3rd Place for
Level: 28 (60000/120000/120000) Entries: 2/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Kyle Rosnes The game is heads up now after Daniel Bourdages sent Kyle Rosnes to the rail. Rosnes was good preflop with ace-deuce over king-ten, but Bourdages found a king and held to take it down. He now has the big stack against Jordan Banfield heads up.
-
Clair Ramsay Out in 4th Place for $5,555
Level: 28 (60000/120000/120000) Entries: 3/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Clair Ramsay Clair Ramsay was all in before the flop, with Daniel Bourdages and Kyle Rosnes live going to the flop. The lop came ten-high and Bourdages bet 500k to push Rosnes off. His jacks were ahead of Ramsay’s fives, and the rest of the board changed nothing.
-
In the Money
Level: 14 (3000/5000/5000) Entries: 34/239 Prizes: $78,870 Day 1a of the 4-Flight is now in the money with 34 players left. They’ll be playing down to 12 players or the end of Level 20, whichever comes first but I’m still watching the endgame of the Bounty, so I’m not watching this one very closely but Jacob Hobday, Kali Shuali, Ryan Smith, Shane Brotherwood, Seamus McGearty, and Gurdeep Parhar are amount the players still in the game.
-
Bourdages Leads
Level: 26 (40000/80000/80000) Entries: 4/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Daniel Bourdages and Jordan Banfield both have more than 2 million now but there’s not a lot of light between the stacks right now.
Seat Player Chips 1 Kyle Rosnes 1,800,000 2 3 4 Clair Ramsay 1,070,000 5 6 Jordan Banfield 2,150,000 7 Daniel Bourdages 2,400,000 -
Robert Assu Out in 5th Place for $4,015
Level: 26 (40000/80000/80000) Entries: 4/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Robert Assu They are down to four now after a blind-on-blind spot sent Robert Assu to the rail for 5th place. He limped in from the small blind, then called when big blind Kyle Rosnes raised enough to put him all in. It was a race between pocket sixes for Assu and ace-nine for Rosnes. It looked good for the sixes until the river of the 7♦2♣J♥10♦A♠ board.
-
Nadav Bitton Out in 6th Place for $2,963
Level: 25 (30000/60000/60000) Entries: 5/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Nadav Bitton They are down to five now after Nadav Bitton hit the rail in 6th place after a brutal post-break level. He came back from the break with the chip lead, but he gave a big double to Daniel Bourdages to leave him short just before he hit the cage for 6th place.
-
Rosnes Has the Best King
Level: 25 (30000/60000/60000) Entries: 6/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Jordan Banfield opened under the gun to 120k and Kyle Rosnes was the only called from the button. Action checked through the Q♣6♥2♥10♣K♣ to the river where Banfield fired 120k. Rosnes slid out a quick call and his ace-king out-kicked the king-ten for Banfield.
Meanwhile a couple of hands previous, break leader Nadav Bitton sent a bunch of chips to Daniel Bourdages. I missed the action, but Bitton was left short with less than 200k after the hand.
-
James Britton Out in 7th Place for $2,234
Level: 25 (30000/60000/60000) Entries: 6/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) James Britton I missed the final action for James Britton, but he was left short just before the break when his pocket aces were cracked by the tens of Robert Assu to leave Britton on less than 500k.
-
Bitton Leads on the Break
Level: 25 (30000/60000/60000) Entries: 7/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Nadav Bitton leads at the break with just shy of 2 million chips right now, but WPT Global streamer Jordan Banfield is close behind with 1.8 million. See below for all the stacks of the remaining 7 players.
Seat Player Chips 1 Kyle Rosnes 1,100,000 2 James Britton 470,000 3 4 Clair Ramsay 295,000 5 Nadav Bitton 1,965,000 6 Jordan Banfield 1,800,000 7 Daniel Bourdages 960,000 8 9 Robert Assu 675,000 -
Assu Finds His Ten
Level: 24 (25000/50000/50000) Entries: 7/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Robert Assu just survived with a two-outer. He opened the action to 100k, then called off when James Britton shoved the cutoff with more.
Assu was in trouble with pocket tens with Britton waking up with aces. This is poker, however, and the game is more than preflop — Assu found his ten on the flop of the 10♥7♠Q♥7♦9♠ runout for the win. The double put him up to about 1.2 million while Britton was down to about 520k after the hand.
The average stack right now is about 20 bigs.
-
Trevor Otterson Out in 8th Place for $1,722
Level: 24 (25000/50000/50000) Entries: 7/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Trevor Otterson Nadav Bitton raised early to 85k in the final hand of Level 23, then called it off when Trevor Otterson shoved his big blind for a bit more than 500k. Otterson had ace-king against queen-ten for Bitton, but Bitton hit his queen and held on the board of Q♣8♣4♠6♦9♦.
-
Marcio Kondo Out in 9th Place for $1,357
Level: 23 (20000/40000/40000) Entries: 8/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Marcio Kondo They are down to 8 now as Marcio Kondo busted while I was processing and uploading the pictures.

Level: 23 (20000/40000/40000) Entries: 9/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Trevor Otterson Robert Assu Nadav Bitton Marcio Kondo Kyle Rosnes Jordan Banfield James Britton Daniel Bourdages Clair Ramsay Daniel Bourdages was the chip leader to start the final table with Kyle Rosnes and Jordan Banfield also in the 7-digit range.
Place Player Chips 1 Kyle Rosnes 1,220,000 2 James Britton 925,000 3 Trevor Otterson 910,000 4 Clair Ramsay 460,000 5 Nadav Bitton 670,000 6 Jordan Banfield 1,000,000 7 Daniel Bourdages 1,500,000 8 Marcio Kondo 700,000 9 Robert Assu 600,000 -
Final Table Time
Level: 21 (15000/25000/25000) Entries: 9/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) They are down to the final table with 9 players left after two players busted on the final table bubble. I’ll grab some names, stacks, and pictures shortly, but one player at the FT is WPT Global streamer Jordan Banfield. He had a pretty solid Fall Super Stack to end last year, and it looks like he’s on a decent run to start this year as well after a cash in the opening event, and now an FT in the bounty.
Place Player Prize 10 Kyle Kamachi $1,095 11 Ryan Tedesco $1,095 12 Parth Mansukh $905 13 Charlene Boustead $905 14 Gary Tripps $764 15 Ryan Godson $764 -

Level: 10 (1000/2000/2000) Entries: 90/239 Prizes: $78,870 The numbers are now confirmed at 239 entries for Day 1a prizes of $78,870. Up to $20,548 of that will be handed out on Day 1a for places from 36th down to 13th, assuming they play down to 5% with anything not awarded today rolling over to Day 2.
Just a reminder that for Day 1 pay events, I won’t be using the Payouts tab until Day 2, so all results will updated in the blog, but will not be reflected in the Payouts tab until the final day of play.

Level: 20 (10000/20000/20000) Entries: 15/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) Level 20 has just begun with the field at 15 players left now. The average stack right now is 484k chips, for just over 20 big blinds so things should move pretty quickly to the 10-handed final table.
Place Player Prize 16 Anthony Williams $764 17 David Kumar $764 18 Martinus Kaspers $662 -
239 Entries (Unofficial)
Level: 9 (1000/1500/1500) Entries: 99/239 Prizes: $78,870 Entries are now closed for the opening flight of the 4-Flight game and while the numbers aren’t official yet, it looks like 239 entries built a prize pool of $78,870 for Day 1a. That will mean that 36 players will be in the money from this flight with at least 12 advancing through to Day 2, assuming the numbers are confirmed when the Day 1a prizes come out.

The reg0desk will close for today’s flight after the break following this level, but there are still three more flights for this one, with two running Friday and one more running Saturday.
There are currently 101 players left in the action, and I’ll update the numbers once they come back from the break in about 25 minutes.

More than $56k in Prizes so Far
Level: 4 (300/500/500) Entries: 171/171 Prizes: $56,430 Level 4 is nearly complete and the 4-Flight players will be out for a break following this level. When they return there will be four more levels of entry in tonight’s flight.
The field is currently at 171, which is about 100 entries off of last year’s 1a total (Jan), but with a couple of hours of entry still remaining, it seems like a decent bet that today’s flight will end up around the same size as last year’s.

Dinner with 50 Left
Level: 14 (3000/5000/5000) Entries: 50/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) The Black Chip players are on their dinner break now with 50 players remaining in action. In the Money
Level: 14 (3000/5000/5000) Entries: 54/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) There wasn’t any hand-for-hand in the end as there was a double elimination in the final hand of play. Kyle Ivanich and Devon Morgan split the $561 min-cash spot today and the remaining 54 players are all in the money. They have about 5 more minutes of poker before they head off for the dinner break.
-

The clock is paused with 8″38 remaining until the dinner break and they’ll take two minutes off the clock for every hand played until the next elimination. There will be five hands before dinner and if they haven’t lost anyone in those hands, they’ll return from dinner still hand-for-hand.

Nearing the Money with 363 Confirmed
Level: 13 (2000/4000/4000) Entries: 65/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) The numbers are confirmed at 363 entries for total prizes of $119,790 with $36,300 of that in the bounty pool and the rest divided 55 ways in the prize pool.
They are now just 10 off those money spots with 65 players left in the game so it looks likely the bubble will come near the end of this level or the start of 14.
The full prizes are loaded under the Payouts tab, but below is a look at the final table payouts for the ten-handed WSOP final table.
Place Prize 1 $16,963 2 $11,308 3 $7,847 4 $5,555 5 $4,015 6 $2,963 7 $2,234 8 $1,722 9 $1,357 10 $1,095 -
Nearly 100 Entries for Open Flight of 4-Flight
Level: 2 (200/300/300) Entries: 95/95 Prizes: $31,350 The 4-Flight game is underway with the opening flight now in play. There are 95 entries on the board for prizes of just over $31k at the moment.
Entries should be open tonight until about 8:30 pm with the desk set to close at the start of Level 9. Once entries close, it will be a race to see what comes first – 5% of the field, or the end of Level 20 with the bags coming out as soon as one of those landmarks is hit. If they go the full 20 levels, the day should end shortly after 3 am but my guess is that they bag earlier than that.
I won’t be following this event very closely until later in the night as I’ll be in Sundance watching the Black Chip Bounty game, but once that ring is awarded, I’ll finish up the night over here.
-
Nearing 100 Players Left
Level: 10 (1000/2000/2000) Entries: 108/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) The field is down to 108 players left in the game now with just under 10 minutes to play in Level 10. The prizes aren’t posted yet but it looks like they are about 50 off the money spots now given the tentative numbers.
-
Nearly $120k in Prizes
Level: 10 (1000/2000/2000) Entries: 136/363 Prizes: $119,790 ($83,490 prizes, $36,300 bounties) The entries are closed on the Black Chip Bounty game now with Level 10 just underway. The unofficial total today is 363 entries for prizes just shy of $120k and more than $80k of that in the prize pool with the rest in bounties.
I’ll confirm these numbers when the prizes are posted, but if they hold then 55 players will be sharing in the prizes later tonight.

My focus will be on the Black Chip Bounty for most of today, but once that game awards the ring I’ll finish up my night with the opening 4-Flight flight.

Black Chip Bounty Goes at 11 AM
Event 3: $400 Black Chip Bounty ($230 + $100 + $70) Date: Jan 9, 2025 11AM Blinds: 25 Minutes Starting Stack: 20k Late Entry: 9 Levels (~3:15) Day 1 Ends: One-Day Event The feature game on Thursday is the Black Chip Bounty. For $400, players get 20k in chips to play 25-minute levels. $230 from the buy-in goes to the prize pool while the other hundred goes to the player’s bounty.
Action for the Black Chip gets going at 11 am with 9 levels of entry. That should put the final buy-in at about 3:15 PM. After that it will be a race to the ring in this one-day event.
Wednesday was a very late night for me, so I’ll be late to the floor for this one, but once I do arrive, I’ll have my focus on this one until it finishes.

Antoine Saddleback Wins Big 30 Stack for $28,680
Antoine Saddleback, winner of Event #1 Antoine Saddleback picked up his second Circuit ring tonight. He picked up a PKO win last year for his first, and this one came with a novelty check showing the original payout. He and runner-up Jacob Parent cut a deal heads up to split the money down the middle and play for the ring.
It took about 25 minutes after the deal was struck to find the spot where it all went in. Parent shoved an ace from the button, and Saddleback called it off with jack-eight. There was an eight on the flop and that was all Saddleback needed to win the hand. He had about 1 million more than Parent at the time, so took down the game at the same time.

Jacob Parent Out in 2nd for $23,900 (deal)
Level: 30 (150000/250000/250000) Entries: 1/455 Prizes: $150,150 Jacob Parent It was Jacob Parent’s biggest-ever score by more than 4x with the chop. He came very close to taking down the ring as well, but Antoine Saddleback’s aggression was too much for him in the end.
The final hand saw Parent in good with ace-six against jack-eight for Saddleback but there was an eight on the flop and that was enough for Saddleback to take it down and send Parent out in 2nd place.
-

-
Parent to the Lead
Level: 29 (100000/150000/150000) Entries: 2/455 Prizes: $150,150 When Jacob Parent made it to heads up with the short stack, he mentioned this was his biggest ever cash, but he’s looking to make it even bigger. He doubled his shorty a couple of times before he shoved ace-three and Saddleback called with jack-nine suited.
Parent flopped an ace and faded Saddleback’s straight outs for a double into the lead.
-
Tang Jooce Out in 3rd Place for $13,423
Level: 29 (100000/150000/150000) Entries: 2/455 Prizes: $150,150 Tang Jooce Tang Jooce and Antoine Saddleback were at it at this final table, trading the lead back and forth, but in the end it was Saddleback who got the best of it. After Jacob Parent folded the short stack on the button, Jooce shoved his small blind for a bit more than 2 million and Saddleback snapped it off.
“This is a gift,” Parent said as the money went in, but his tome changed a bit when he saw the hands. Saddleback was dominated with queen-ten against ace-queen for Jooce, but Parent let out a yell of joy when a ten came on the flop. Saddleback held to send Jooce to the rail and stack up more than 11 million chips.
Parent has since chipped up a bit, but Saddleback is still in the lead heads up.

The lead just switched again when Saddleback flopped a set of sixes against a flopped pair of kings with king-ten froor Jooce. Jooce found another king on the river, but that gave Saddleback the boat for the win.
-

Level: 28 (60000/120000/120000) Entries: 3/455 Prizes: $150,150 Tang Jooce raised to 240k from the button and Antoine Saddleback called from the big blind. They both checked the 6♥A♣9♣ flop but Saddleback led for 300k on the Q♣ turn. Jooce raised it to 900k, then hit the tank hard when Saddleback shoved a covering stack.
After more than a minute in the tank, Jooce finally made the call and his A♥K♥ was way ahead of the A♠2♠ for Saddleback. The hand left Saddleback with about 4.9 million while Jooce chipped up to about 6.5 million for the lead.

That left Al Mouselly with around 30k behind, but he’s since doubled that a couple of times, first with king-nine over king-seven against Calyton Littke, then winning a race with a ce-eight against the pocket fours of Antoine Saddleback.

A Few Big Stacks and Payouts
Level: 12 (2000/3000/3000) Entries: 171/455 Prizes: $150,150 I’ve just had a wander around the room to find a few of the bigger stacks and it looks like Kim Pham and Jake Zannet are the joint leaders right now with about 210k each in front of them. Entries Closed with 455 on the Board
Level: 11 (1500/2500/2500) Entries: 222/455 Prizes: $150,150 Entries for the opening event of the 2025 WSOP-C Calgary January series are now closed with a final unofficial total of 455 entries. That number is still yet to be confirmed, but if it holds, it will mean this year’s game beat Jan 2024 by 1 entry.
There should be 68 or 69 places paid at the end of the night, and those places will be sharing in $150,150 in prizes. I’ll confirm all the numbers once the prize pool is posted shortly.
-
Final Break for Entries
Level: 10 (1000/2000/2000) Entries: 219/452 Prizes: $149,160 They are just 2 entries away from the 2024 total with the final break for entries now underway. There are just 10 minutes left in the break and entries will be closed when they sit down for Level 11. The prizes are now just shy of $150k, and it looks certain that they’ll break that number as well as the 2024 total by a few entries.
-
15 Off 2024
Level: 10 (1000/2000/2000) Entries: 225/439 Prizes: $144,870 There are just over 10 minutes to play in Level 10 with the final break of registration coming up at the end of this level. The field now is at 439 entries, just 15 shy of last year’s total. Entries will close following the up coming break, so there are less than 30 minutes left to get into the opening event of the series.
After a wander around the room, a few of the other faces I spotted in the action included Graham Lupton, Doug Lee, Yousef Hmama, Terry Langdon, John Foley, Phillip Louie, Stephen Dauphinais, and Reg Hampton.
-
Final Level of Entry
Level: 10 (1000/2000/2000) Entries: 234/431 Prizes: $142,230 Level 10 has just begun and the field is at 431, just 23 entries away from the 2024 total of 454. That puts the current prizes at more than $140k with about 40 minutes left to enter the game.
Praba Siva and Sean O’Reilly are among the recent players I spotted entering the fray.
-
About an Hour Left to Enter
Level: 9 (1000/1500/1500) Entries: 253/419 Prizes: $138,270 Level 9 has about 20 minutes to play with the field now at 419. That means there is a bit more than an hour left to enter this opening event and the field is just 35 entries away from the 2024 numbers.
They’ll play one more level of poker following this one before the next break, with entries set to close following the break at the end of Level 10. Prizes now are nearing $140k.
-
More than 400 Entries
Level: 8 (600/1200/1200) Entries: 271/406 Prizes: $133,980 There are about 15 minutes remaining in Level 8 now with the field up to 406 entries. That puts the prizes at almost $135k and puts this year’s field less than 50 away from last year’s total.
-
Nearing 400 Entries
Level: 7 (500/1000/1000) Entries: 294/387 Prizes: $127,710 The field is up to almost 390 entries and still growing with about 2 hours left to enter the game. That puts them just 60 entries away from the 2024 numbers with almost $130k in prizes so far.
Poker philanthropist Sunny Lubana is among the players in the game today. He donates 10% of all his poker winnings to a family-run charity that provides educational support to underprivileged children in his homeland of India. Joining him in the mix today are Chris Klementis, who was at the final table of the Main in August, as well as Montreal’s Ian Monahoyios, Vancouver’s Mal Hagan, Ontario’s Tang Jooce, and YouTuber and influencer Greg “Greg Goes All In” Liow.
-
109 Away from 2024 Numbers at Break
Level: 5 (300/600/600) Entries: 266/345 Prizes: $113,850 The Big 30 Stack players are on their first break of the day with the end of Level 5. There are 345 entries on the board at the break, which is just 109 entries away from the event total in 2024. That puts the prizes at close to $115k already.
There are still 5 levels of poker left to get into this opening game, so it seems pretty likely that it will cap last year’s numbers pretty easily. Among the other players I spotted recently getting into the game was the Alberta Poker Index winner for 2024 Mike Malm. He crushed the API race last year with about 40% more points than the runner-up Weston Pring. Other faces I’ve spotted include David Johnson, Ty Adams, and Kali Shuali.

Level: 5 (300/600/600) Entries: 271/315 Prizes: $103,950 Level 5 has just begun and this will be the final level of play before the first break of the day. The field is up to 315 entries to start the level for prizes of nearly $105k already.
Entries are still open for a bit more than 3 hours today, so the field of 454 from Jan 2024 in this event is definitely in jeopardy here today. Among the recent faces I spotted in the field are Shane Brotherwood, PokerNews reporter Adam Lamers, Malcolm Bolger, Pete Fylyma, and Edmonton McDonald’s mogul DJ “Big Mac” Sharma.

More than 300 Entries
Level: 4 (300/500/500) Entries: 270/301 Prizes: $99,330 There are more than 300 entries in the field now with about 15 minutes to play in Level 4. That puts the prizes so far just shy of $100k with about 3 hours left to enter the game.
Evan Thomas and Jeff Saunders are among the representatives from Canada’s left coast, while Nick Peterson, Deven Lane, Jon Jacquard, Garry Chan, Weston Pring, and Johnny Dalphond are among the other players fighting for the first Calgary ring of 2025.

250 Entries
Level: 2 (200/300/300) Entries: 250/250 Prizes: $82,500 There are about 8 minutes to play in Level 2 with the field up to 250 entries now. That puts the prizes at $82.5k and climbing. A few of the other players I’ve noticed in the field today so far are the Main Event winner from Aug, Alex Liu, as well as last January’s Big 30 Stack champ David Ko. Ryan Smith, Ben Locker, Tyler Thomas, Kim Pham, and Don Fujita are among the other players I’ve spotted today.

More than 200 Entries
Level: 1 (100/200/200) Entries: 206/206 Prizes: $67,980 There are still about 10 minutes to play in Level 1 and the field has already capped 200 entries with 206 on the board right now. That puts the prizes just shy of $68k and climbing.
With the current pace, it looks possible that we’ll see a 500+ field for today’s event, but that remains to be seen. There are already a lot of familiar faces in seats around the Sundance room including Scott Calvank, who was at the final table of this one in May. Joining him in the action today are Travis Kruger, Matthew Ouelette, Dallas Larson, Fred Werezak, Jordan Banfield, Ron Lauzon, and multiple ring winner Paul Sokoloff.

Nearly $50k to Start the Day
Level: 1 (100/200/200) Entries: 149/149 Prizes: $49,170 Cards are now in the air for the opening event of WSOP-C Calgary Jan with 149 entries to start the day for prizes of just shy of $50k. There are still more than 4 hours to enter the game, so I expect these numbers to get quite big before it all shuts down at the start of Level 11.
Among the players I spotted in action today are the August champion David Labchuk. He picked up his third ring, and first in an open event, with the win in this one this past Aug. Joining him in the ring hunt today are Jeff Charlebois, Curtis Singleton, and Clayton Littke. I’ll add more names to the list as the day goes on as that doesn’t even scratch the surface.

More than 100 Entries to Start the Series
Level: 1 (100/200/200) Entries: 113/113 Prizes: $37,290 The action in the Big 30 Stack is still about 10 minutes away, but the field is already over 100 entries to start the day. There are about 8 minutes left on the countdown to cards in the air for the 2025 Circuit season in Calgary.
There were 113 entries on the board with the numbers still climbing and activity at the entry desk outside the Sundance room, so the prizes are already approaching $40k before any hands have even been played.

Big 30 Stack Kicks Off WSOP-C Calgary Jan 2025
Event: Event #1: $400 Big 30 Stack ($330 + $70) Date: Jan 8, 2025, 11 AM Blinds: 25 Minutes Starting Stack: 30k Late Entry: 10 Levels (~3:50 PM) Day 1 Ends: One-Day Event Canada’s 2025 poker season gets underway with the Big 30 Stack at WSOP-C Calgary Jan 2025. The traditional opening event of the series kicks off at 11 AM on Wednesday and players will have 10 levels of action to get into the game.
That should put the final chance to get a seat for the opening event at about 3:50 PM on Wed. After that, they’ll play down to a winner sometime Wed evening or early Thur morning. In August, David Labchuk picked up his third ring with the win in this one, while last January the crown went to Burnaby’s David Ko as he kicked off an amazing year that saw him grab a WPT Championship as well. May’s winner was Lee Clark.
This event will be my main focus for the opening day, and I’ll be on this one until the first ring is awarded. Shuffle up and deal!
