MTT Grandmaster Stephen Chidwick wins $52,000 Pot Limit Omaha – Championship event for $1,357,080 and his second WSOP bracelet. Chidwick had to beat the pool of 122 entries, which generated a prize pool of $6,100,000.
Stephen won his first WSOP in 2019 when he won $25,000 Pot Limit Omaha—High Roller 8-Handed for $1,618,417. It is interesting that Chidwick, who is mainly a no-limit holdem player, has only won WSOP bracelets in PLO.
“It’s kind of funny that both of my bracelets are in PLO, and both of my Triton titles are in Short Deck. I don’t have a major no-limit title,” said Chidwick.
“Winning anytime it feels great. Bracelets are something that used to be a huge goal of mine in the earlier part of my career. As time has passed, my focus has shifted a bit more to some other tours and some of the higher stakes tournaments.” added Chidiwck.
This win also moved Chidwick closer to second place in the all-time money list with $63,288,135 in earnings, just a bit more than one million behind Justin Bonomo.
