WPT Global Becomes Official Sponsor of Triton Poker’s High-Stakes Tour

In what is a major development for the poker world, WPT Global and Triton Poker have announced an exciting new partnership, marking a significant milestone for both poker giants. As part of this collaboration, WPT Global will become the official title sponsor of Triton Poker’s prestigious Super High Stakes poker tour.

Since its inception in 2016, Triton Poker has been synonymous with some of the most exclusive and extravagant poker tournaments in the world. With buy-ins starting at $15,000 and going into millions, Triton has attracted most of the biggest names in the game, as well as the wealthiest businesspeople who thrive in the high-pressure environment of these nosebleed stakes.

One of the reasons Triton has garnered a massive following is not just because of its high-stakes action but also due to its commitment to providing free, high-quality entertainment for poker enthusiasts. Triton Poker’s live streams and YouTube uploads have long been praised for their top-notch production value, ensuring that fans have a front-row seat to some of the most exciting poker action globally.

While Triton has traditionally been seen as a tour for the poker elite, that dynamic is about to change with WPT Global’s involvement. This newly found partnership will now offer WPT Global players a pathway to participate in Triton Poker events with online satellites presented on their platform, bridging the gap between poker’s best and everyday poker enthusiasts.

“This game changing partnership with WPT Global brings a unique opportunity for Triton Poker Series to expand our global reach,” said Andy Wong, CEO of Triton Poker Series. “By giving WPT Global’s users once-in-a lifetime opportunities to qualify into our flagship event, the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series, we hope this invites a fresh injection of new players into the arena of ultra high stakes, and that we see new high stakes dreams dealt.”

Also, as part of the collaboration, each Triton Poker stop will feature a $25,000 buy-in WPT Global Slam event, giving a wider range of players a chance to experience the world of Super High Roller poker. The next stop is just around the corner, as the legendary Salle des Étoiles in Monte-Carlo will host the upcoming Triton Super High Roller Series from November 1 to 14.

This partnership marks a new era for Triton Poker, which GGPoker previously sponsored for over two and a half years. However, GGPoker recently made waves by acquiring the World Series of Poker brand for $500,000,000, and it looks like Triton Poker looked elsewhere and has now shifted to WPT Global to lead them into the future.

WPT Global has been on a meteoric rise lately, rapidly climbing the ranks in the online poker world. According to PokerScout.com and their cash game stats, WPT Global has already surpassed PokerStars to claim the second spot among the largest online poker platforms.

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Triton Poker as they enter this new phase of growth,” Alex Scott, President of WPT Global, commented on the partnership. “Triton has become synonymous with the best in high-stakes poker, and by aligning ourselves with such a distinguished brand, we aim to create extraordinary opportunities for WPT Global players to experience poker on an even grander scale. The launch of the WPT Global Slam will give our players the chance to compete at the highest levels in poker, and we look forward to creating unforgettable experiences at Triton events worldwide.”

The World Poker Tour (WPT) itself, a beloved brand with over 20 years of poker excellence, has been at the forefront of innovation and player engagement. Backed by a team of tech leaders and passionate poker enthusiasts, WPT Global has successfully elevated its online product to meet the demands of hard-to-please modern poker players.

With this powerful partnership between WPT Global and Triton Poker, the future of high-stakes poker now looks even brighter.
