A Four Hundred and Forty Player Strong Field
After an action packed Day 1b, The Hendon Mob Championship Nottingham has concluded play. A unique bonus of this series is that players who cash an event will receive a special symbol on Hendon Mob that can only be achieved this way. Day 1b saw double the entries as the first flight with 27 players moving on from the 181 player strong field. Day 1c closed with 172 entries bringing the total registrations for the event to 440 players.

Dusk Till Dawn proved to be a remarkable venue that truly enhanced the experience for players at THMC. Although playing for serious stakes, many players found joy in the social aspect of the game, engaging in jovial banter throughout the day. Players began with a 100,000 starting stack and 30-minute levels, providing ample opportunity to play some serious poker. In the first two hours of play, Andrew Hanak got off to a fast start after flopping a flush. On the other end of the spectrum, Luke Bloom became the first reported player to hit the rail after his top pair was out-kicked.
Hall Finds Both Side of a Boat
As play progressed, Kevin Hall lost a significant portion of his stack to Voroncovs’ backdoor full house. However, redemption came swiftly. Hall turned a full house with pocket threes and was paid off by an opponent holding trip kings. By the time late registration had closed, Michal Szczeblewski and Carlo Solazzo shared the chip lead with 400,000 each. Meanwhile, Day 1c had already begun as the remaining Day 1b players battled down to just 27.

Enache and Constantinou Spearhead the Latter Half of Day 1b
Following the close of late registration, Constantinou emerged as a recurring force in the event. After facing a check-raise on the flop, he fired again on the river to build his stack to 390,000. Voroncov flopped trips and faded a flush draw to take chips off the then-leader Cristian Enache, but Enache still maintained a healthy stack of 1,400,000. Constantinou later held in a flip with Ace-Jack against King-Nine to reduce the field to 32 players and increase his stack to 1,000,000. Enache eventually sealed the final elimination of the day with pocket nines, sending the remaining 27 players into the money.
