March 19-23, poker history will be made at the Dusk Till Dawn casino, Nottingham. Not only will a winner be crowned in the 2025 The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC), but this will also be the first-ever standalone Hendon Mob poker festival at the Dusk Till Dawn.
The Hendon Mob, being the world’s biggest live poker database, has throughout the years held their own special tournaments during various poker events all across the globe, as well as hosting festivals of their own. Now, they’ll once again be running all the operations and presumably, many players will travel to Nottingham with the purpose of chasing the unique Hendon Mob flag.
With the 2025 Hendon Mob Championship Nottingham being just a couple of days away, let’s browse the archives and see who’s been the previous champions of the prestigious Hendon Mob events.
Off to the Races
The first-ever THMC was held during the 2018 Malta Poker Festival at Casino Portomaso. In the inaugural event, 491 entries were made in the €250 tournament. This culminated in a €104,779 prize pool, and the biggest slice of the cake went to Ukrainian Oleksii Yerema, who won €17,850. With Yerema’s win, THMC had seen its first-ever winner.

The next THMC was held in Tallinn during the 2019 MPN Poker Tour. Although the number of entries was roughly half of the first event (262), the tournament was now up and running. This time, UK resident Robert Bostock claimed the title and the €9,458 first-place payout.
Next to host was Prague, as the 2019 MPN Poker Tour headed to the Czech capital in a few sunny days in May. Armenian Vagan Shakhbazyan navigated his way through a field of 157 entries and emerged victorious, €6,600 richer and with the third-ever THMC title.
A Maltese Return
Fast forward to October 2019, when THMC returned to its place of birth. The number of entries increased during the 2019 Malta Poker Festival with 449 entries. When all was said and done, Italy’s Daniele Coroneo could reach his hand to the sky, as he had won the fourth THMC title and €21,000, after he had made a deal with his heads-up opponent Robert Richmond.

The next venue to host was King’s Casino Rozvadov at the end of 2019. This one broke all the records with 734 entries in the €220 buy-in event, creating a €42,842 first-place payout that went the way of German Norbert Baumgartner.

The Prestige of THMC Events
With such an honorable history, THMC is a very prestigious series, and one can understand why so many players want to participate in the various events. Throughout the years, THMC has grown bigger and bigger and the festival has visited many different countries, giving all players a decent chance to chase the prestigious Hendon Mob flag.
The biggest THMC event to date in terms of entries has been the $600 THM Mid-Major Championship, which was a part of the 2024 RUNGOOD Poker Series in the States.
Nottingham will see the second THM Event of 2025, as Jan Schneider captured the title in Liechtenstein in January. After a new king or queen is crowned at Dusk Till Dawn, the next THM event will take place during the 2025 Irish Poker Open.
GPITHM Head of Partnerships, Roland Boothby, couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming event:
“The entire GPITHM team is excited to announce that The Hendon Mob Championship will host a standalone series at Dusk Till Dawn for the first time. While THMC events will occur across five continents in 2025, there is no venue quite like DTD. It’s a venue that provides unparalleled comfort and an exceptional experience for poker players in every regard. This series offers a variety of buy-ins catering to all types of poker players, and we’re eagerly anticipating a memorable week at the home of UK poker.”
Boothby also looks forward to the rest of the 2025 season:
We have an exciting year ahead as we enter the busy spring period, with THMC events in Nottingham, Sao Paulo, Dublin and Malta. The aim of these events is to provide a fun, low buy-in poker experience to the millions of poker fans around the world who visit our websites every year, and we are continually adding new locations to our roster as we look to bring these event to even more poker fans.
As we mentioned the other day, poker.pro will be on-site in Nottingham, following all the action from the 2025 THMC Nottingham. Head over to our live blog and make sure you don’t miss a moment from one of the UK’s biggest events.
