The Queens of Tallinn 2024, a four-day celebration of women in poker, concluded this Sunday on a high note at the Olympic Park Casino in Tallinn. This was the second iteration of the festival following its successful debut last year and has further solidified its place as a marquee event for women in the poker community.
The festival was designed to highlight women’s contributions to poker. It featured 11 tournaments, nine of which were exclusively Ladies-only and two open to all players. €250 Main Event was the centerpiece and the most prestigious event of the series. It drew 85 players in three days, creating a prize pool of €17,578, as one of the largest women-only poker tournaments in Europe.
Finland’s Saara Benlamine emerged victorious in the Main Event, claiming the title, a golden necklace, and was crowned the queen of queens, with a top prize of €5,148. She was in great form in the capital of Estonia, as this was her second victory of the series. On Friday, Benlamine triumphed in the €80 NLH/PLO4/PLO5 Mix event, adding €551 to her winnings.

2024 Queens of Tallinn Main Event Final Table Recap
The final table of the €250 Queens of Tallinn Main Event brought together players from six different countries, highlighting the colorful international field. Leading the way were Lithuania’s Ausra Razmaite, with 84 big blinds, and Finland’s Saara Benlamine, holding 75 big blinds. The two combined for nearly half the chips in play.
Sanaz Fattahi was the first to exit, shoving with ace-queen over Marta Porter’s open. Porter snap-called with ace-king, and at the end, Fattahi was calling for a king as the board ran J♣4♠5♣10♦. The river 10♣ was no help, and she departed in ninth place.
Liisi Voltri followed shortly after. She shoved queen-jack from under the gun but ran into Sara Chafak’s pocket aces. The board missed her completely, and Voltri exited in eighth place.
Latvia’s Kristiana Stauere suffered a heartbreaking elimination in seventh place. Shoving with ace-nine, she was called by Vanessa Webley’s king-queen. Despite flopping an ace on the A♦8♠Q♣ board, Webley, in disbelief, rivered the Q♦, which sealed Stauere’s fate.
Miss Finland 2012, Sara Chafak, exited in sixth place, unable to survive with her short stack. Her ace-eight couldn’t overcome Evely Pihela’s ace-queen, and her run in the Main Event ended in sixth place.
Marta Porter’s dream of becoming a back-to-back Queen of Tallinn champion ended in fifth place. Her (unlucky) pocket sevens fell victim to Benlamine’s ace-seven.
Benlamine then added another scalp, eliminating Webley in fourth place. This time, Webley’s king-queen failed to connect against Benlamine’s ace-jack, giving the Finnish player nearly three-quarters of the chips in play.
Razmaite briefly leveled the playing field, cracking Benlamine’s pocket kings with her ace-king, but the gap widened again with the last Estonian exiting the Main Event. Evely Pihela’s ace-jack couldn’t overcome Benlamine’s king-nines, with two nines appearing on the flop.
The heads-up battle began with Benlamine holding a 2:1 chip lead over Razmaite. Although Razmaite briefly took the lead, Benlamine regained control and sealed the victory in the final hand. Razmaite’s king-four shove met Benlamine’s ace-deuce call, and the board ran clean for the Finnish player, securing Benlamine’s win in the 2024 Queens of Tallinn Main Event.
