PokerStars Revives NAPT With First Stop in Las Vegas

There’s no denying it: The live poker tournament scene is experiencing boom 2.0. With record-shattering fields and eye-watering prize pools from the storied tables of the WSOP in Vegas to the vibrant energy of the EPT in Barcelona and the $1,000,000 GTD WPT Prime in Taiwan, poker’s popularity is surging globally.

This renaissance hasn’t just been confined to current tournaments. Vintage series are also experiencing a revival. The WSOP Circuit made a grand return to London after more than a decade, and after a 7-year hiatus, the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) re-emerged.

Now, PokerStars is reviving the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) after 12 years of absence!

With its complex legal landscape surrounding online poker, the U.S. market poses a unique challenge. However, PokerStars is ambitious. Already having a footprint in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, they have significant plans to expand their online offerings; just waiting for a chance. And with this naturally comes a live tournament series.

This rejuvenated tour will see poker enthusiasts gather at the Resorts World tables in Las Vegas for an experience only PokerStars can offer. Notably, the event is not exclusive to U.S. players but welcomes participants from all corners of the globe.

NAPT kicks off from November 4-12, and the series will feature a $1,650 buy-in Main Event running from November 6-11, boasting six starting flights. High rollers aren’t left out, with a dedicated event priced at $5,300 from November 10-12. Additionally, there’s the $550 PokerStars Cup, set to run from November 9-12.

The festival coincides with another high-adrenaline event in Vegas: the penultimate race of the F1 season, where PokerStars’ partner, Oracle Red Bull Racing, will be in the spotlight, aiming to clinch a top spot and go for the gold.
