Presumably, we’re all excited for the 2025 live poker season to unfold. There’s no doubt about it: live poker events bring a certain thrill that can’t be matched by the online side of things. If you’ve ever been at the venue during a poker festival or similar, you know what we mean when we say that there’s a special atmosphere filling the room.
One of the first live poker events of 2025 will be the Perla Poker Festival, running January 9-13. The PokerPro crew will be on-site reporting live from the event, and we couldn’t be more eager for the first hand to get dealt; there’s no doubt the Perla Poker Festival will set a standard for the 2025 live poker calendar. Let’s take a closer look at what’s going down in Slovenia’s Nova Gorica in just a few days.
Five Days of Fun at the Perla Poker Festival
Running for five days, the Perla Poker Festival should be a great way to kick off your live poker adventures for this year. The prize pool is expected to reach a whopping €100,000 and when dissecting the schedule, there’s no doubt that the Main Event will bring its fair share of excitement to the festival.
The Perla Poker Festival Main Event layout structure is fairly rare. There are four opening day flights for players to choose between, with the first one being scheduled at 7 p.m. on January 9. The semi-unique twist though, is that the buy-In is lower the earlier flight you select. For example, the buy-In for Day 1a is €300, compared to €500 on Day 1d.
Players can also select to buy in for Day 2 which will commence at 1 p.m. on January 12 when the action will play down to the final table. The nine fortunate players will then return on the following day for the trophy along with huge pay jumps.
Outside the Main Event, there will also be a few tournaments on the side for players to enjoy. All four-cards enthusiasts ought to circle January 10 in the calendar, when at 5 p.m. it’s time for the €300 Omaha ETOP event. Two card enthusiasts will also be in luck the following day in the €200 Saturday Night Fever.
Players less fortunate to advance to Day 2 in the Main Event on Sunday, will join bounty enthusiasts in the €230 EVBETS Knockout tournament. Last, but not least, the festival concludes with the €120 Last Dance tournament on January 13. This is all on top of the plethora of cash games across a variety of stakes and games running throughout the event.
