Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City, soon to be rebranded as a Genting Casino, was booming on Tuesday with tournaments and cash games running throughout the day and evening.
James Miller took the overall chip lead in the £150 Mini Main Event on Day 1c, which was live reported at poker.pro after bagging up 659,000 to catapult ahead by nearly 100,000 chips from the previous chip leader Sukhdev Singh, who bagged 559,500 on Day 1b. A new chip leader may still emerge with three more opening flights to go including two on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the day also boasted a value-added £30 Mystery Prize Added Value event. Players that entered had their names entered into a raffle where £3,000 in prizes were given away randomly after late registration was closed. Glenn Brown announced the top five winners and he was among them winning a £150 Mini Main Event ticket, which is consolation for the fact that he soft bubbled two of the opening flights already. Other prizes including a £500 Main Event seat and $530 partypoker Online Millions seats. The event ended a six-way deal with Jack Zhao going home with the trophy and £480 for his efforts.

Early Day 1c Mini Main Action
Karim Louis wasted no time making waves early on Day 1, scooping up some juicy pots and setting the tone for what looks to be a deep run. But Karim’s influence goes far beyond the felt. As a proud PartyPoker ambassador and the visionary behind Poker Against Plastic Pollution, he’s helping reshape the live poker scene—one chip bag at a time.

His initiative champions the use of biodegradable materials at live events, including those ever-present chip bags we all stuff into our backpacks at the end of a long day. And it doesn’t stop there: for every bag used, a tree is planted—because stacking chips should never come at the cost of the planet.

Day 1c Registration Comes to a Close
Media maestro Glenn Brown decided to shake things up, snagging an early elimination and showing he’s not just a force behind the scenes. As registration wrapped, it was Hady-Ahmed-Marian Sirbu, Getnet Kassa, and James Miller leading the charge—each cruising past the 250,000 mark before the first break.

The prize pool has already swelled to a tasty £58,135, and with three flights still to come, there’s plenty of room for that number to grow. Meanwhile, PartyPoker ambassador Karim Louis kept his Day 2 dreams alive, doubling up with the nut flush and refusing to back down without a fight.
Bubble Trouble for Brown
James Miller kept the heat on, slicing through the field and bringing the table just two spots away from the money. His pocket sevens held firm against an ace-queen offsuit shove, boosting his stack to a hefty 579,000. As the bubble loomed, play tightened and tensions rose with every turn of the card.
In a cruel twist, Glenn Brown found himself on the wrong side of fortune, becoming one of the final players to fall just short of the money. He moved all in from middle position for 78,400 and was called by the cutoff. Both players revealed their holdings.
Glenn Brown: A♠Q♣
Cutoff: A♥K♠
The board was no help to Brown as it came the K♣5♦J♠6♦5♠ to send him to the rail.

The rest of the field? All smiles as they bagged their chips and punched a ticket to Day 2—where the chase for cash and glory continues. Stay locked in as Day 1d and Day 1e kick off tomorrow, complete with full chip counts from earlier flights and the first crack at the turbo format.
