Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City was booming on Easter Sunday with tons of tournament and cash game action throughout the day and evening.
The inaugural £200 poker.pro PLO was a success with bounties awarded full of both poker.pro and partypoker merchandise for both poker.pro CEO Jason Glatzer and the charismatic poker host Glenn Brown. This author bubbled the event which earned a prize as well before Paresh Doshi earned the trophy and the £2,220 top prize.
Meanwhile, the £150 Mini Main Event surpassed 300 entries on the second of six opening flights with Sukhdev Singh taking the chip lead away from Day 1a chip leader Grace Smith (487,500) after catapulting his 50,000 opening stack into 559,500 in chips. Day 1b was smaller than Day 1a due to Easter but still managed to attract 125 entries with 32 survivors with Robert Ayton (427,500), Kaloyan Stefanov (321,500), V T (318,000), and Amr Moustafa (307,500) ending the day in the top five alongside Singh.

From Bounties to Trophies; Paresh Doshi Wins £200 poker.pro PLO (£2,220)
It was a dominant performance from Paresh Doshi as he went on to win the live-reported by Alek Gillies the £200 poker.pro PLO for £2,220. He bested the 34 player field eventually overcoming Gang Wang to take home the lions share of the £5,770 prize pool. Doshi also found both bounties of the night eliminating Glenn Brown and Jason Glatzer from the tournament. His performance was dominant on the final table as he soared to the chip lead and never looked back.

£200 poker.pro PLO Action of the Day
Before the tournament began, Jason Glatzer announced that Glenn Brown and him would both have a bounty on their first bullet. The prize would be a poker.pro themed gift basket with an exclusive hat, t-shirt, and water bottle for the headhunters. With this, action was soon underway and Glatzer took his first blow from Dimitrov. Boyuan Xue led the chip count at the break with 47,000. JJ Hazan was in close pursuit with 40,500.
Hazan is the Tournaments Head Hunter
JJ Hazan found his stride as he picked up elimination after elimination. First he flopped top set against two players and made top full house to get the double knockout. Shortly after, he flopped trips against an opponents over pair to add to his chip lead. Glenn Brown was quick to hit the rail after he ran his PLO aces into a flopped set. That set belonged to none other than Doshi who shared that he “made a loose call hoping to spin it up or rebuy,” before the registration closed.
Hazan held an overwhelming chip lead as of the first break with 162,000. Ri-Karlo Handy (57,700) and Craig Timmis (53,000) rounded out the podium. Registration came to a close as the trivia contest was underway in the nearby bar. Team poker.pro bubbled placing third (two places payed). Hazan claimed another elimination before the break sharing with the blog before play resumed.
Wichman carved out a name for himself adding to his stack (86,500), while Glatzer and Hazan towed the line of friend and foe. Setting up for later in the evening, they found a few pots together. Glazer took the initial lead between the pair doubling up as both players hands improved on the river. Wichman continued his hot streak by turning trips to send his opponent to the rail. He now sat as the defacto chip leader with 209,100.
Final Table Approaches as the Tournament Crescendo’s
With only nine players left, Wichman sat as the top dog with 187,500 in play. Mohamed Abu-Hassan, Doshi, and Glatzer all sat in close proximity with approximately 130,000. Wichman kept up the pressure taking down a massive pot and sitting comfortably at 359,000.
A final table was set with seven players and those remaining clung on for dear life. A three way all-in occurred between Gang Wang, Hazan, and Wichman. The stacks flipped as both Hazan and Wang survived to close the gap between them and fellow players. The stone bubble was set to burst as only one players elimination would secure a guarantee of £840 for the remaining players.
Glatzer got one all in through, but wasn’t lucky the second time as Doshi found both bounties and brought the remaining players into the money. In similar fashion, Hazan found a double before busting shortly after. His mid rundown hand couldn’t best Doshi’s A♥A♠10♣5♦ to send him to the rail. Doshi sat with nearly 2/3’s of the chips in play. With just a small advantage, he applied maximum pressure and ensured the tournament wouldn’t last much longer.
Next on the chopping block was Wichman who flopped a combo draw. His draw was not as live as it originally seemed after Doshi revealed the nut flush draw. Both players made their flush to give send Wichman out in the bronze podium place. It didn’t take long for Wang to find himself all in. He open shoved the turn on the 6♥2♣7♦Q♥ board. Doshi went into the tank but found the call, and both players revealed their holdings.

The river ran out 7♥ for Wang to be sent home with the silver medal.
Doshi was joyed at his win and also complimented the PartyPoker trophy saying it would be a “good addition to his collection.” He may join the field tomorrow or after for the Mini Main and Main Event in the following days. 2025 PartyPoker UK Tour London Monday Schedule (April 21)
Monday’s schedule boasts the third opening flight of the €150 Mini Main Event at 2 p.m. along with a fun £40 Mystery Prize Added Value at 7 p.m.
The two events are bookended by satellites with 11 a.m. bringing the £20 Mini Main Satellite and the £60 Main Event Satellite starting at 9 p.m.
