It was a bittersweet ending to the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Spring Edition, with many players sharing their heartfelt farewells while others fought for the final two trophies at Olympic Casino Voodoo, located in the heart of the Latvian capital of Riga.
The festival nearly witnessed two players earn their second trophy this festival. Greece’s Enea Subashi, who earned a trophy earlier this festival in the one-day Event #4: €350 NLH DeepStack Progressive Bounty, earned a second trophy in a big way by winning the two-day Event #22: €350 NLH OlyBOOST Mystery Bounty for €11,530 including a whopping €7,800 in mystery bounties.
Meanwhile, Lithuania’s Dominykas Ruškys nearly earned trophies in back-to-back days. He earned a trophy online in the €150 OlyBet Showdown Riga Online Progressive Bounty for €1,946, including €1,015 in bounties before running deep in the final event in Event #26: €250 NLH DeepStack. However, Finland’s Joel Holmberg ruined any dreams for Ruškys to become the second player to win two trophies this festival after defeating his opponent to hoist the trophy and bank the €4,070 top prize.

Enea Subashi Dominates the Mystery Bounty

Over the past few years, Greece’s Enea Subashi has been a staple at OlyBet branded events having been witnessed battling in both the Estonian capital of Tallinn and the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius before hitting Riga for a trip he will likely remember for a while for the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Spring Edition. Subashi not only earned his second trophy this festival after winning the €350 NLH Mystery Bounty but he has now three in his collection this year at OlyBet-branded events after winning a side event at the 2025 Kings of Tallinn.
The €350 NLH Mystery Bounty attracted 88 entries to generate €25,916 in prizes with both the €12,716 from the prize pool and the €13,200 in mystery bounties all being earned on Sunday’s final day after players battled until the money bubble broke on Saturday evening.
It was an international affair with players from eight different countries finishing in the money with the top 11 players earning at least a €330 min-cash. After Latvia’s Jānis Velkeris exited in seventh place for €560, the final six players were each from different countries.
Finland’s Samuel Saariaho managed to collect a €600 bounty but ran out of gas in sixth place for €1,280. This was still more than flag-hunter Fabian Bartuschk from Germany earned for fifth place for €900 and more than the fourth-place prize of €1,220 earned by Ukraine’s Dan Korsunsukyy.
Latvia’s Edgars Maurmanis was also bounty-free as he collected €1,680 for his bronze performance. Mindaugas Grigaitis, who already earned €4,800 in mystery bounties, was looking to bring the trophy one country south but instead settled for a healthy runner-up prize of €7,236 with Enea Subashi earning the trophy along with a huge five-figure prize of €11,530 to close out the festival.
