The 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Spring Edition is heading into its final weekend with all eyes on who will win the inaugural OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo €1,100 Main Event at Olympic Casino Voodoo.
Estonia’s Ott Jaakson began Friday’s Day 2 with the chip lead and will keep the same status to lead the final nine players at the official final table in the marquis event of the festival. The festival had already witnessed an event with a similar pattern of chip leads after every day when France’s Michel Leibgorin and Sweden’s Arasch Mirzai were in the top two spots to start Day 2 and the final table in the €555 Championship on Thursday before Leibgorin defeated Mirzai heads-up.
Leibgorin, however, isn’t done yet as he is also at the final table with a short stack, hoping to make magic happen alongside 2023 Kings of Tallinn Main Event runner-up Petteri Laiho, 2022 Tallinn Summer Showdown Main Event champion Glen Gaines, and Finland’s Joona Koivisto. The final table boasts six different nationalities, with the Lithuanian duo of Martynas Mockevičius and the short-stacked Jurgis Beinoras and a pair of local players in Roberts Krīgers and Jevgēnijs Zotovs rounding out what promises to be an exciting final table.
Meanwhile, Mirzai, who we mentioned was the runner-up on Thursday in the €555 NLH Championship, earned a trophy the following day, Friday, in the €150 NLH for €1,972 after agreeing to a three-way deal with Lithuania’s Rokas Petrauskas and Latvia’s Uldis Cīrulis.
Meanwhile, there was a heads-up battle across the channel in Riga in the €350 NLH Progressive Bounty, with France’s Sebastien Le Moigne defeating Philip Huxley to earn the final trophy on Friday.

The €1,100 Main Event attracted another 28 runners, and late registration was open during Day 2, bringing the final field to 141 entries for a €133,950 prize pool.
Lithuania’s Egidijus Matonis bubbled the event in 18th place before a pair of Latvians collected a €2,270 min-cash, including the €250 NLH Opening Event champion Raivis Pučurs (16th place) and 2025 Kings of Tallinn Main Event champion Kaspars Butans (17th place).

Finland’s Aleksieemil Heikkinen hit the rail in 11th place for €3,220 before South Korea’s Min Sung Lee earned the same after bubbling the final table to end the penultimate day of the Main Event.

Sebastien Le Moigne Wins €350 NLH Progressive Bounty
The one-day €350 NLH Progressive Bounty attracted 90 entries to generate €26,505 in prizes, including €9,000 reserved for the progressive bounties.
Unlike many flag hunters we have witnessed over the last year, Finland’s Joni Liimatta didn’t hit and run and earned a second Latvia’s cash for his The Hendon Mob profile after finishing in ninth place for €540.
The trophy had a good chance to stay home for three Latvians remaining by the time the event was down to just five hopefuls. However, the Latvian trio of Kristaps Zarāns (third – €2,625 + bounties), Jānis Velkeris (fourth – €1,840 + bounties), and Roberts Leja (fifth – €1,330) hit the rail one by one leaving France’s Sebastien Le Moigne and Berlin resident from the United Kingdom Phillip Huxley competing for the title with both players securing €3,855 from the prize pool.
Le Moigne got the better of his opponent Huxley to earn the trophy and win the big bounty at the end.

Arasch Mirzai Wins €150 NLH
Late registration was in its final moments, as players were bagging their stacks for the final table of the €1,100 Main Event, including 2025 Olybet Showdown Riga Voodoo Spring Edition Main Event final tablist Petteri Laiho, who earned €570 cash for sixth place.
“I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to hop in,” shared Laiho as he sat beside this author, who also max late-rigged before bowing out in eighth place for €370.
Norway’s Ebbe Hanson min-cashed for €300 in the same hand. This author was eliminated when Rokas Petrauskas woke up with pocket rockets in the big blind to overshadow this author’s ace-nine suited and Hanson’s jacks. Lithuania’s Dominkykas Ruškys had a big stack throughout the event before time ran out in fourth place for €460.
A trio of Finns missed out on the podium, including Jari Hurri (fourth – €950), Kimi Sipala (fifth – €700), and the previously mentioned Laiho. Sipala accomplished the remarkable feat of cashing in two side events on the same day after also min-cashing the €350 NLH Progressive Bounty.
The final three players agreed to a deal with Petrauskas and Latvia’s Uldis Cīrulis, collecting €1,970, while Arasch Mirzai was awarded the trophy and the €1,972 top prize.
