Denmark’s Ahmet Canatan leads the final 24 players in the three-day €555 Kings of Tallinn Championship, with Ukraine’s Yurii Zabrodotskyi, and Norway’s Morten Norland just a few chips behind. Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Martin Kabrhel resides in seventh place, with all returning players already locking up €2,150 with a €66,050 top prize on the line.

Elias Jalovaara Victorious in €200 NLH Estonian Independence Day Special
Many players were witnessed wearing the blue, black, and white of Estonia’s flag on Monday to celebrate their country’s special day in style in the €200 Estonian Independence Day Special. However, the Estonian poker community did not perform well in this event, with Taavi Välisson’s 16th-place finish for €690 topping the charts for the home country.
Instead, it was all about the white and blue flag of Finland, with the country boasting the top three spots in the event. The event attracted a banner field of 338 entries, which formed a €53,438 prize pool.
Elias Jalovaara and Joona Koivisto were heads-up after Jukka Moisio exited in third place for €5,180. Jalovaara defeated his opponent and earned the only five-figure prize of the day € 10,840. This left Koivisto without a trophy but instead with a handsome runner-up prize of €7,310 for a healthy return on his €200 buy-in.

Niko Heikkinen Wins €350 8-Game
The €350 8-Game was a true test of poker skills, with the games rotating between the five limit games of HORSE, including hold’em, Omaha h/l, Stud, Razz, Stud h/l, along with limit deuce-to-seven triple draw, no-limit hold’em, and pot-limit Omaha.
The event attracted just shy of a century with 98 entries creating a €28,253 prize pool. This event was the one realistic chance that Estonia had a chance to get on the board on its Independence Day with a trophy with Peep Laar heads-up against Finland’s Niko Heikkinen.
Heikkinen denied Laar the honor of winning the trophy on this special day and earned the €8,300 top prize, while Laar should have still gone home happy with his runner-up prize of €5,390.

2019 Tallinn Summer Showdown Winner Sebastian Wahl Wins Another Trophy
Sebastian Wahl won the OlyBet Tallinn Summer Showdown in 2019, before it was rebranded as part of the Kings of Tallinn family of festivals. While he wasn’t invited to join the Kings and Queens in the Royal Showdown Invitational, he instead took matters into his own hands and won a trophy along with the €4,275 top prize in the €200 NLH/PLO4/PLO5.
Four other players, each from different countries, collected four-figure hauls including Germany’s Sascha Manns (second – €2,780), Slovakia’s Tomas Szabo (third – €1,920), Finland’s Olli-Pekka Huuskonen (fourth – €1,390), and Poland’s Tomasz Gluszko (fifth – €1,030).

2025 Kings of Tallinn Schedule Day 6 (Tuesday, Feb. 25)
Tuesday will be an extremely busy day at Olympic Park Casino and the Hilton Tallinn Park as the Kings of Tallinn is set to award seven trophies. Our poker.pro team will be busy live reporting Day 2 of the €555 NLH Kings of Tallinn Championship and The Royal Showdown Invitational.
Meanwhile, today is the start of the €1 million guaranteed Main Event with Day 1a kicking off at 1 p.m. The live reporting of this event will begin on Day 2, however, we will provide daily updates in our recaps until we reach that stage of the event.
In addition to these three events, the final 29 players will battle in the €555 NLH DeepStack Mystery Bounty with envelopes containing massive prizes to be opened starting at Noon. The second OFC event kicks off at the same time with a €350 buy-in, while there is still more to come with three more tournaments and two more satellites including the €200 NLH Royal Challenge at 7 p.m., where players can earn a €200 bounty for eliminating any former Kings of Tallinn or Queens of Tallinn Main Event champion.
