This year’s Eureka in Prague is just another proof that poker players are longing for good mid-stakes events with affordable buy-ins and big prize pools. Once again have we seen a record-breaking field, this time with 4,017 entries in €1,100 Eureka Main Event which boosted the prize pool to €3,856,320 with staggering €496,760 reserved for the winner.
Only 9 players are left in the Main Event with Jack Sinclair leading the pack. He is on the way to another huge score, only two months after second place finish at EPT London Main Event for £414,650.
Everyone at the table already have €45,390 in their pocket, but with two short stacks Marko Martinkovic and Waldemar Starostin, we’re sure we’re about to see some early fireworks.

PokerStars Ambassador Alejandro Lococo, who won the exact same tournament back in March, was eying another repeat here in Prague as he was the overall chip leader after the first day of the event. He would be among the leaders in Day 2 as well if his pocket aces wouldn’t run into quad kings of Leonardo Romeo, just a few hands before the end of the night. He still managed to ran up his stack and finished in 21st place for €14,080.
Remaining nine players will return to the table today at 12pm local time and will play down to a winner, who will take home close to a half a million Euros and a beautiful trophy.
