It’s always been presented that most online poker pros just sit at home and print huge amounts of money without breaking a sweat, but the truth is different. Here are four regular online poker players who play mid—and high-stakes (NL200-NL20000).
Jako’s 2024 Online Cash Games Results
The first one is a player from a YouTube channel named “Jako,” an Australian high-stakes online poker crusher playing between NL500 and NL2000. He is playing on the “Ignition” site, which is limited to only US and Australian players. The site is considered one of the softest and offers a specific type of poker, anonymous poker, which benefits an aggressive style of play since players can’t adjust to specific opponents.
Jako earned around $145,000 from the 217,000 hands played in 2024, earning $131,80 per hour while working a full-time job.
Kruzer20 2024 Online Cash Game Results
The second player is Kruzer20, a mid-stakes online poker regular from Croatia. He posts his play videos on YouTube (High Elo Poker), and at the end of every year, he posts his results and makes the review of the year.
The first half of the year was not good for the Kruzer20 as he went into 85 buy-ins downswing, which was the biggest one in his career. He mentioned that his previous biggest downswing was 35 buy-ins, which is 2.5x less. He was also thinking of quitting poker and finding a new job as his mental game was in a bad spot even though he started the year with 60 buy-ins upswing, and he wasn’t down a crazy amount of money (he was up around $4,000 with rakeback).
He decided to take a two-week break before he came back and started to win slightly again, finishing his PokerStars grind with $15,466 profits with rakeback. Next for him was to switch to GGPoker, as the volume on PokerStars dropped since the new rakeback system was introduced. He also played on Ipoker for a short amount, making $2,170 over 8,500 hands before transitioning fully to GGPoker since Ipoker games were not running in the morning.
After transitioning to GGPoker, everything started to work out for Kruzer20; he was running well above EV and making money from rakeback and leaderboards without trying to grind leaderboards, but securing $100/day on them. After 350,000 hands, he made around $36,000 with rakeback.
He also mentioned coaching other players and making videos for a coaching site, where he made $6,234, making his total yearly profit $60,812.
pkrELMO 2024 Online Cash Game Results
The third player who publicly posted his cash game results on his YouTube channel, even though they were not good, is pkrELMO from the UK. He is playing mid-stakes zoom games on PokerStars.
After playing 308,000 hands, he lost $519 but has made around $5,000 in EV winnings. He explains that after PokerStars introduced the new rakeback system, he decided to play higher stakes (500 zoom), and he was making mistakes trying to adjust to the new player pool and playing more hands, which he was not used to. He used to play a very aggressive style, and he noticed he started to get called too often, so he stopped bluffing as much, and his results improved.
After he changed his style, his red line (non-showdown winnings) dropped significantly while his blue/gray line (showdown winnings) catapulted, and he started to win money again. He also said this was a negative change to his game, and he moved away from the good things he had been doing previously; it was all due to his mental game leaks. This also made him avoid playing and do anything else instead.
Venividi1993 2024 Online Cash Games Results
Venividi is one of the best PLO players in the world. He posted amazing 2024 cash game results on X. He has made $2,895,000 playing online cash games on GGPoker and CoinPoker. He mentioned the three key factors for his success were running well, working with the right people, and having/finding the right action.
Venividi emphasized that running well is the most critical aspect of having a successful poker year at high stakes. He said he ran well when it came to hitting cards, but when the money was in, he won more than he was supposed to. He also mentioned this was the most successful and balanced year of his life.
Venividi thanked everyone who helped and supported him throughout the year, mentioning some familiar names like Benjamin Rolle, aka bencb789. You can also check out his YouTube channel, where he posts poker vlogs and high-stakes cash game action.
