The Final Table

Coming into the final table, nine players remained in the battle for the first-place prize of £219,000 and the title of the UK Open Main Event champion!
The first elimination came after Iason Fillippidis 4-bet shoved his A♥Q♦ into Q♣Q♥ of Martin Donoghue. The board ran 2♠2♣9♣6♦10♠, not giving any aces to save the day for Fillippidis, who finished in ninth place for £16,350.
Wantao Tang was out in eighth place after he shoved A♦Q♣ with 15 big blinds and ran into A♠A♥ of Ray Power. The board ran J♥Q♠8♣6♠4♠, giving Tang some hope on the flop, but the turn and the river were bricks, and he was out for £22,440.

Pocket sevens were the jinx hand for Tuan Le, who lost two hands with pocket sevens. First, he ran into pocket eights and lost, and then he lost the “flip” against ace-ten, both against Raggy. Le was eliminated in seventh place for £31,340.

Hulme eliminated Raggy, who shoved his 14 big blinds with ace-five and got called by Hulme’s pocket jacks. Hulme flopped a set of jacks, and that was game over for Raggy, who finished in sixth place for £43,910.

Marin Donoghue was out in fifth place after he shoved his ace-three for 14 big blinds and ran into pocket kings of Ray Power. Donoghue won £61,230 for his fifth-place finish.

Andrew Hulme shoved from SB with 10♥4♥, putting pressure on Antoine in the BB, who called it off for his last 10 big blinds with king-seven. Hulme managed to hit the ten on the flop, and it held to eliminate Antoine in fourth place for £84,890!

Dale Wilson was eliminated in third place for £116,840 after he ran his kings into two pairs of Ray Power. Wilson came into the final table as a short stack with just three big blinds and managed to spin it up.

The Heads-Up

Coming into the heads-up, Andrew Hulme had the chip lead with 17 million chips to Ray Power’s 11 million, and there was still a lot of poker to be played.
The last hand happened when Ray Power was shoved with king-ten and got called by Hulme, who had ace-ten. Hulme’s hand was still ahead when the last card was dealt, and Ray Power was eliminated in second place for £160,390.
