After the incident on Hustler Casino Live, where Robbi made the weird call against Garrett, he disappeared from the live streams and poker in general. He has announced he is coming back this Friday on the Bally Live Poker stream to battle against Phil Laak and Masato Yokosawa.
“I’m looking forward to just getting out there and battling. Believe it or not, the last time I played poker was on the two streams a year ago. I’ve been consumed with a couple of other big projects over that time, but I will always love poker, especially on stream. I’m sure it’s going to be a great time.” said Garrett Adelstein.
The last two streams (Bally Live Poker and WPT Cash) Garrett played on were really good for him. He won $387,400, with a win rate of $27,000 per hour. According to highrollpoker.com, he is also one of the most successful TV players, with 2,547,075 won.
The game he will play will also have other professional and amateur players who love action besides Laak and Yokosawa. It will be a high-stakes game with $100/200/200 blinds and an ante.
Yokosawa is a popular Japanese poker player and vlogger. The interesting connection is that a camera crew will record him while playing on the stream and during his stay at the Commerce Casino Bally for the Japanese reality show.
“Garrett is one of the most famous cash game players, even in Japan. He is an excellent player in both strategy and metagame. In Friday’s game, it’s my turn to beat him and play a hand that people will remember.” Yokosawa said when asked about playing with Garrett.
Phil Laak is also making a comeback. He was last seen playing poker live a few months ago when he won the $560 No Limit Hold ’em—Mega Millions XXVII event in Los Angeles for $380,050.
“I’m looking forward to Garrett’s return. It’s been a minute. The last time we played was back in the $10/20 NLH days. I guess that makes it a long minute.” said Laak.
