CoinPoker’s Cash Game World Championship was an event where CoinPoker gathered some of the best pros in the world to play against each other and compete to win the $50,000 engraved Rolex Daytona Ghost.
The championship started on December 1 with a VIP game. The format was 100 big blinds, automatic reload if your stack dropped below 100bb, no ante, and zero rake. Competitors were “forced” to play at least one “special” table, where the rule was to auto-show every winning hand.
Players had incentives to win weekly rewards, such as invitations to CoinPoker’s exclusive weekend games featuring VIPs and streamers.
The invites were sent to the best-performing players in the categories of Coolest Bluff, Sickest Hero Call, Biggest Winner, Biggest Loser, Unluckiest Player, and Biggest Grinder.
After weeks of playing, the Championship ended, and Owen “Pr0digy” Messere was the winner of the leaderboard with the most money won. Owen managed to win $680,978.55 after 43,529 hands played to win the Championship in front of “riggedeck,” who came in second place, winning $229,959.38 after 69,799 played.
Owen managed to beat some of the best names in today’s poker, such as Linus Love, Limitless, MunEZstaRR, DavyJones92, and others.
He also started with a loss of $22,000 in week 1; as weeks 2 and 3 came, Owen was just racking up win after win to end the whole thing with a heads-up battle against Riggedeck, playing 1,000 hands over the last two days.
Owen ran $90,000 above the EV, but it didn’t matter in the end as he was far ahead in winnings above everybody. KevinPaque played 72,251 hands, the most of all players on the leaderboard. LLinusLL0ve was close to second place, $35,000 behind the rigged deck, with $194,193.55 in actual winnings.
Owen “Pr0digy” Messere said that his intuition was working well, and he ran well, so it was easy for him to have confidence and avoid being impulsive. He also said he learned how to “close his eyes and call” in big pots.
