The stars have finally aligned in the Baltics once again, as for the third straight year, OlyBet Poker and the Olympic Entertainment Group kicked off their robust annual schedule of events starting in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius for the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Vilnius Ace Breaker at Olympic Casino Lietuva.

The first trophy stayed on home soil as Vilius Zabarauskas defeated Gediminas Kvedaris heads-up to win the €2,062 top prize plus a ton of €50 bounties along the way in Event #3: €150 NLH Knockout.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, a field of 97 entries went into battle in the two-day Event #1: €350 Progressive Bounty Warm-up. Just 22 players survived led by Marek Žigel with 11 players for half the remaining field earning at least a €520 min-cash plus whatever progressive bounties collected along the way. The top two spots will earn €4,265 with the winner earning the trophy and the massive progressive bounty at the end.

Zabarauskas Earns Second OlyBet Trophy

Vilius Zabarauskas emerged onto the live poker scene after the pandemic and came into this festival with a trophy from a side event from the autumn’s Kings of Vilnius. The local player now can check off the trophy box this festival after shipping the €150 NLH Knockout during the Vilnius Ace Breaker’s opening day and can aim to now add more after an impressive run at the final table resulted in his second victory recorded at The Hendon Mob.

This author was among the 95 entries to create a €11,733 prize pool including €4,750 in bounties. After building up a stack, this author dusted off his chips with fives against the cowboys held by the chip leader Irmantas Jablonskas. Jablonskas managed a deep run but ended short of the podium in sixth place for €370 plus a huge stack of €50 bounties as he eliminated player after player in the early portions of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Zabarauskas had to go through Tomas Bulkšas, Žilvinas Radzevičius, and Lukas Gudinauskas after Jablonskas hit the rail before defeating Gediminas Kvedaris heads-up to win the title.
