$10 Million Guarantee Smashed at the Wynn

Things are looking really good for this year’s WSOP as a $10,000 event has attracted an amazing 1,328 entries at the Wynn in Las Vegas.

The World Series of Poker returns in September and a lot of people think that it will be the biggest ever, with many thinking the Main Event will attract as much as 10,000 people.  That is because with the world gradually coming out of lockdown there is huge urge to play live poker. The World Poker Tour, for example, has attracted several of its biggest fields ever this year.

The best sign yet of a strong WSOP is happening is right now happening at the Wynn in Las Vegas. The Wynn Millions is a $10,000 event with a $10 million guarantee that has stepped in to fill the summer emptiness left by the WSOP.

The staggering guarantee has been beaten by quite a margin, as 1,328 entries in total have created a prize pool of $12,483,200.

That means two millionaires will be made during the event with $2,018,866 going to the winner on July 3.

The tournament now heads into Day 2A with 501 players remaining in the total field. All the big names you would expect to be there are present, with Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, Bryn Kenney, Alex Foxen, Kristen Bicknell, Jason Koon, Maria Konnikova, and Vanessa Kade among all the other mentionable survivors, with Bryn Kenney being the current chip leader.
