The much-anticipated World Poker Tour (WPT) EveryOne for One Drop tournament at the luxurious Wynn Las Vegas got underway on July 9 with Day 1A. With a staggering guarantee of $10,00,000 up for grabs, the first flight has attracted 265 players.
At the close of Day 1A, 85 of the initial entrants secured their spots for Day 2. Standing out among them is chip leader Stephen Song, who has accumulated an impressive 406,500 chips, a full 100,000 ahead of the current 2nd place holder, Alex Kulev, with 306,000 chips.
Other notable players with big stacks advancing to Day 2 include WSOP bracelet winners Bryce Yockey (303,000), Ryan Laplante (271,000), and Mikita Badziakouski (241,500). Three-time World Poker Tour Main Event winner Brian Altman bagged 229,500 chips, while one of the newest WPT Global ambassadors, Ethan “Rampage” Yau, has 202,000 chip stack heading into Day 2.
Despite the ongoing record-breaking 2023 WSOP Main Event at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas casino, the $10,000,000 guarantee for the EveryOne for One Drop seems likely to be met, which is always a challenging feat. Two more flights, Day 1B and Day 1C, are scheduled for July 10 and 11.
