Yesterday evening, Day 1 of the €1,100 PLO Championship took place at the tenth anniversary of Kings of Tallinn. The tournament, which tests players’ skills in both four- and five-card Omaha, saw 271 entries made at Olympic Park Casino. They played 14 levels of 30 minutes before bagging up, shrinking the field to 52 players in the meantime. Topping the charts at the end of the night is Norwegian player Tobias Leknes. Leknes is one of the most decorated online mixed games players of all time but once again proved he can do it on the live poker tables as well, bagging up 670,000 chips at the end of Day 1 on his search to add another trophy to his vast collection.

Leknes’ stack of 670,000 will be worth 168 big blinds when play resumes at 1 p.m. local time. He will be in prime position to abuse the incoming bubble, as only 35 players will receive a slice of the €252,030 prize pool. Leknes is followed in the counts by reigning Autumn Edition Main Event champion Mathias Siljander, who brings 485,000 chips to Day 2. Also in the top ten are Irish Open champion Tero Laurila (237,000) and Finnish poker millionaire Jyri Merivirta (228,000).
