Trevor Simpson was on life support coming back from the break with less than 40k in play. He shoved once and got it through for a chip up to 44k, then got a double through Ryan Comely.
Simpson raised to 13.5k under the gun and Ryan Comely rerasied to 30k from his left. Everyone else got out of the way before Simpson reraised all in and Comely called it off.
It was a classic race between ace-king for Simpson and pocket queens for Comely. The flop was dry for Simpson and he got up to get ready to leave but he spiked a king on the turn to take the lead and held through the river. The double puts Simpson close to 100k and, while he is still among the short stacks on the table, he is now out of the danger zone.
