PartyPoker Tour London; Day 2 Set to Begin Shortly

Day 1d will finish shortly, and Day 2 will commence just after it’s end. Originally scheduled for 4pm, the tournament has a combined field of 491 entries. This combined for a prize pool of £216,703, and 107 players will start Day 2. The clock will roll back to Level 12 with blinds 1,500/3,000, and a 3,000 Ante.

Early Stages of Day 1b

Karim Louis found a hot start. He sat nearly double the starting stack after calling two streets and spiking a flush on the river. It’s hard to imagine a better start to the day than what happened to Armandas Aurila. He filled the reporting team in on a hand that occurred three hands into the day.

He flopped a full house with pocket queens on the QAA board. An all in and call occurred between him and Neil McCullough who tabled ace-king. Aurila held to soar to 102,000 super early into the flight. The crowd was loaded with familar faces, as many runners from the Mini Main event hopped into the action.

PartyPoker London Invitation Sit & Go is Entertainment At It’s Finest

While the Main Event action rolled on, there was plenty of laughter and banter coming from the TV table, where the PartyPoker London Invitational Sit N’ Go was in full swing. The Staple brothers, Glenn Brown, and Day 1a chip leader Alexander Georgie were among the players battling it out in a fast-paced 9-handed turbo.

In the end, it was Konstantin Zerdev who stole the show, scooping up seven of the eight bounties to take the win. The whole Sit N’ Go was live-streamed, with George Sandford leading the commentary and bringing in a few guests along the way.

Day 1b Ramps to a Thrilling Conclusion

Back in the Main Event, things started to get a little more intense as the Day 2 bubble came flying at us. One player trying to build a big stack was Martin Hellmuth, fresh off a third-place finish in yesterday’s £150 Mini Main Event. Hellmuth showed off the same sharp poker skills we saw then and managed to run up a solid stack. But right near the end of the night, Christoph Knight picked off one of Hellmuth’s bluffs and took a big bite out of his chips.
