The excitement around PartyPoker’s return to the live scene just keeps building — and Saturday was no exception. An action-packed schedule took over Aspers Casino, with Day 2 of the Main Event delivering bigger fields, bigger prizes, and bigger energy. When it was all said and done, the prize pool swelled to a hefty £216,703.
Up top, there’s a juicy £38,408 waiting for the eventual winner. A total of 124 players kicked off Day 2, and adding to the fun was a livestreamed feature table — with players rotating in and out all day. You can check out the action for yourself.
A Bloodbath in the Beginning
Coverage picked up right at the start of Day 2, with players barreling toward the money bubble. A 4 PM start gave everyone a little recovery time from Friday night’s players party — but the action wasted no time. Eliminations came fast and furious, and Aleks was the first to bust on the stream table after coming in with just five and a half big blinds.

Will Kassouf wasted no time getting busy, as he jumped from table to table. Starting with less than 100K, he used his signature speech play and deep experience to build some momentum. At one point, he chased a gutshot straight draw, hit a six on the river, and led out — putting his opponent all-in. They called, Kassouf showed pocket sevens, and just like that, he chipped up to 404,500.
The Bubble Approaches
As the bubble crept closer, the action slowed. Danilo Sato found a huge call to chip up after rivering a full house with ace-jack. Then came the stone bubble — just one elimination needed for everyone left to lock up a payday. John Friel looked like he might be that player, running queens into aces — but a queen on the turn kept his hopes alive and sent a collective gasp around the room.

Cassandra Yong made her mark at the feature table, winning a huge pot when her flopped two pair held against Gareth Davies’ pocket jacks. Yuet Wong was also all-in, but couldn’t survive, and the rest of the field locked up a min-cash of £1,000.
The ladies continued to run pure. Alina Costea found herself all-in with ace-king against jacks, and after some drama on the flop and turn, a king on the river gave her a huge double. Heading into the break, Ben Miller was the only player over a million chips, sitting comfortably with 1,436,000.
Eliminations A Plenty as Players Brawled to Bag
As the night wore on, players battled hard to make it to Day 3. Tristan Chaplin stole the spotlight late, tripling up with pocket jacks and getting involved in several big pots. Meanwhile, Kassouf (2,345,000), Getnet Kassa (1,740,000), and Aleks Georgiev (1,370,000) led the way at the final break.
Chaplin doubled through Paul Moyce, leaving Moyce with barely one big blind. But Moyce wasn’t done yet — he clawed back with a double, then found another when he jammed [8c9c] and spiked an eight to beat Chaplin’s ace-jack. A gritty fight to the end, but eventually play wrapped up with 27 players bagging for Day 3.
