Martin Kabrhel Looking for First Kings of Tallinn Trophy as 24 Return for Final Day of €555 Championship

From a record-breaking turnout of 710 entries, only 24 players will return today at 1 p.m. local time for the third and last day of the €555 Kings of Tallinn Championship. Among them is Czechia’s all-time money leader Martin Kabrhel. Kabrhel can usually be spotted playing buy-ins of up to six figures around the globe but decided to register the Championship yesterday, an event with a buy-in totaling what he sometimes pays only in rake. Kabrhel bagged 1,320,000 at the end of Day 2, netting him a spot in the upper third of the field and good for 44 big blinds when play resumes. He added his first Kings of Tallinn cash to his resume of over 13 million but will be gunning for the title and trophy, along with the €66,050 that comes with victory.

Kabrhel’s biggest hurdle at the start of the day will be Ahmet Canatan, who edged out a narrow chiplead yesterday and will begin Day 3 with 2,135,000 in chips. Ukraine’s Yurii Zabrodotskyi sits in second with 2,125,000, while Morten Norland from Norway is the final player with over two million in chips. Siim Nikopensius is Estonia’s best hope with a stack of 1,845,000, while Finland and Sweden also have representatives in the top ten chip counts.

The tournament will resume at 1 p.m. local time with blinds at 15,000/30,000 (30,000). Levels will last for 40 minutes throughout the day, with a break after every three of them.
