Level: | 14 (2000/4000/4000) |
Entries: | 16/124 |
Prizes: | $116,560 |

David Ko is one of the rising Canadian stars in the game and he keeps finding ways to win and stack chips. Earlier this week he took down the High Roller event and now he’s bagged the big lead from Day 1a of the Main Event.
The opening flight saw 124 entries for prizes of $116,560, which is a very respectable number for an opening flight. That meant 16 players would find a bag at the end of the night, and it took almost 14 full levels to get there with the final action taking place with just a few minutes left in Level 14.
While Ko has a substantial lead on the field with 753.5k, Alex Liu has almost 450k and Ryan Smith is on 428.5k for Day 2. Colten Yamagishi bagged 308.5k and he was the only one in the 300s.
