Ladies and gentlemen, the day is finally here! Today, January 9, is the first day of the Perla Poker Festival. The atmosphere here at Perla Nova Gorica is electrifying, and we have five days of exciting poker action in front of us.
Today, play will start at 19:00 local time (CET). Day 1a of the Main Event is the sole dish on today’s poker menu and it will be a spicy one. The players who buy-in for the tournament today will do so at the lowest price, €300. As mentioned in our previous article, the buy-in will increase the later flight the player choose to participate in. Players can register for the Main Event until the end of level 3 on Day 2.
The main event is a re-entry tournament, in which players will get 60,000 chips. For today and the rest of the Day 1 flights, each level will be 30 minutes long. Play will end after Level 13 is concluded. The first level starts on blinds 100/200 with a 200 ante.
Day 1b will be played tomorrow, January 10, also starting at 19:00. The only difference from today’s flight is that the buy-in for 1b is €360.
Day 1c and 1d will both be played on the January 11. Day 1c kicks off at 13:00 with the same buy-in as 1b, whilst Day 1d starts 19:00 for the price of €500.
When the surviving players return to Day 2 on Sunday 12, the levels will be at 40 minutes length. After day 2 the survivors will rest and come back on monday, battling it out for the title.
