It is time for the highest buy-in on the Kings of Tallinn schedule, the €5,000 NLH Highroller. Last edition, this event took place as a progressive knockout, but this time around it is back to “regular” no-limit hold’em for the high rollers. Finnish poker legend Juha Helppi won the event for €36,800 in the autumn, and he has already been spotted walking the hallways of Olympic Park Casino, presumably ready to take a shot at going back-to-back.

The highroller will kick off at noon local time. All players who register will receive 50,000 chips to start with, giving plenty of room to play as Level 1 has blinds of 100/300 with a 300 big blind ante. All levels will be 30 minutes in length, and interested players will have 10 levels to register. The late registration closes after the dinner break, around 7 p.m. local time, at which point the starting stack will be worth around 17 big blinds.
Unlimited reentries are also permitted during this period, and with the tournament being played six-handed, plenty of high-stakes action seems guaranteed. The tournament is scheduled to be a one-day affair, so stay tuned to this page as it will be reported live from the “Shuffle up and deal” until a champion has been crowned.
