There were 34,000 in the middle when the board read 6♣6♥10♣Q♥. Peter Thorpe checked to his table neighbor Danny Rowlinson, who bet 22,000. Thorpe then decided to force Rowlinson all in for 95,000.
Rowlinson looked both disgusted and suspicious. He threw in not one, but two timebank chips contemplating a call. “Will you show if I fold?” he asked Thorpe, who accepted the request.
Eventually, Rowlinson announced he’s folding and Thorpe, being a man of his word, revealed his 7♦6♠. “Let me see the river”, Rowlinson asked the dealer as he showed his dead J♣8♣. The dealer denied the rabbit hunt; we’ll never know if the flush and/or straight would have hit, but one thing’s for sure: the two lads are having a blast at the table.
Peter Thorpe: 195,000
Danny Rowlinson: 90,000
