In the final hand of the previous level, Harold Boutilier opened it up with a limp under the gun. Larry Quon bumped it up to 2,000 from the button and Tony Comely called from the big blind, as did Boutilier.
The flop was 4♠K♠3♥ and it checked to Quon who bet 2,500. Only Comely came along to see the Q♦ turn. They both checked to the A♠ river when Comely check-raised from 5,000 to 35,000 and forced the fold from Quon. Comely showed K♥9♦ for the flopped top pair and the win.
I’ll grab another round of chip counts on the dinner break following this level.
