The 1a prizes are now over $105k, but it’s not just money they are playing for. The Main Event trophy, as well as some hot new PPT swag is also up for grabs, not to mention the coveted points for the Alberta Poker Index Player of the Year race for 2025. In 2024, Michael Malm ran away with the prize with Weston Pring a distant second, and while they’ve both played and done well in previous events this series, I’ve yet to see them in the field for today’s flight.
