As 2024 winds down, the Alberta poker scene is heating up with the final series of the Pure Poker Tour (PPT) season. The trophy events kick off at Pure Casino Yellowhead on November 21 with the Seniors First event, followed by 11 days of action-packed poker, and highlighted by the $1,100 Main Event starting on November 29.

Survivor is Thursday’s Third Game
Event: Event #3: $340 Survivor ($300 + $40) Date: Nov 21, 7 pm Blinds: 20 Minutes Starting Stack: 20k Late Entry: 6 Levels (~9:15 PM) Day 1 Ends: One-Day Event The third game on the opening day is a Survivor format where all players in the money chop the prize pool evenly. The game gets going at 7 PM with 20k in chips to start. They play 20=minute levels until they hit 10% of the field when the game will end.
Players have 6 levels to enter the game, which means the last chance to enter will be about 9:15 on Thursday evening. This game is my third priority on Thursday so it likely won’t get much coverage. I’ll try to keep the numbers up to date and get a photo of the players who make the money, but otherwise, it’s likely this one is pretty dark.
