Picking up the action a turn of 2♥K♦7♣6♣, Fidan Zahiti checked over to Veikka Keto-Tokoi, who put in a bet of 6,600. Zahiti raised to 14,000, which Keto-Tokoi called.

Zahiti then put in a tiny bet of 3,000 on the J♣ river, being snapped off by Keto-Tokoi. Zahiti tabled A♥7♥ for a pair of sevens, but was bested by the K♠Q♠ of Keto-Tokoi, who raked in the pot.

Robbie Schiffbauer had opened from the button and Gevorg Gevorgian called in the small blind. Ziga Klopcic then put in his stack of 26,300 from the big blind, leading to a quick fold from Schiffbauer. Gevorgian gave Klopcic a good staredown before calling off with the covering stack.

The 3♦J♦6♣9♣ flop and turn gave Gevorgian plenty of outs, but the 4♠ river was not one of them, doubling up Klopcic.

One hand later, Schiffbauer open-raised again before being put all-in by Gevorgian for around 22,500. He made a quick call as the cards hit their backs.

Petrytsia shot in the lead on the K♠Q♦7♣ flop, but the 9♣ turn locked up the pot for Canatan’s nines. The 8♣ river was rendered meaningless as both players ended up around the starting stack.

On a turn of 5♦8♣8♥K♥, Artem Beliand committed his final 14,100 in a pot of roughly the same size. John Hallberg instantly looked him up, and the players tabled their cards.

After a short delay, the dealers have been instructed to shuffle up and deal as Day 2 of the €555 Championship gets underway.

The €555 Championship always draws a bumper crowd at the Kings of Tallinn festivals, and it was no different this time around for the tenth anniversary of the premier Baltic poker event. Across four starting flights at Olympic Park Casino, 516 entries were made, of which 244 bagged up for Day 2. Karolis Kutkauskas from Lithuania reigns over them all, having amassed 286,600 chips on Day 1, nearly ten times the starting stack of 30,000, and good for 239 big blinds when play resumes. Kutkauskas is closely followed by the Finnish pair of Mikael Koistinen and Henri Kettunen, while Yurii Zabrodotskyi from Ukraine and Andreas Werner from Sweden also crossed the 200,000-mark.

Meanwhile, the best Estonian thus far has been Stanislav Smeljov in 12th place with 147,300 chips.

Other notable names present when the tournament will recommence at noon local time include Sebastian Wahl (141,500), Tarmo Tammel (112,400), Paul Newey (93,100), Jari Mahonen (84,000), Roope Tarmi (66,600), and Aleksi Naski (54,800).

The blinds will restart in Level 10: 600/1,200 (1,200), and four more levels of late registration are available on Day 2. The latest anyone can enter is the very first hand of Level 14, around 3:15 p.m. local time, at which point the starting stack will be worth 12 big blinds. The field will then play down to the money before ending the night when 16 players remain, who will bag up for the third and final day of the tournament.
